It’s been a week since the 2026 State of the Chamber, and I’m still walking around on cloud nine. Over the past week, I’ve received phone calls from people asking for contact information for someone they met at the event. And today, I saw actual proof that business relationships were formed because of this year’s State of the Chamber. That means more to me than I can put into words. When I plan Chamber events, my intention has always been bigger than putting people in a room. I want people to CONNECT. Build relationships. Share ideas. Discover opportunities. And do business together. The phone calls, messages, and conversations I’ve received this week have been incredibly uplifting and inspiring. They remind me why we do what we do. Someone even told me, “You set the bar really high. How are you going to top this next year?” 😂 Well… I don’t know yet! But I do know this: we’re going to keep building. Last week I had an opportunity to visit Soil & Water Conservation District's monthly meeting. The monthly meeting is open to the public. Dr Tina McIntyre, new Sustainability agent, UF IFAS Extension Orange County, spoke at this month's meeting. It was a very interesting presentation about Reclaiming water.
